"Hualong One" nuclear grade cable successfully filled the gaps in research and development

Recently, China Honda Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd. and Anhui Cable jointly developed a Hualong 1E (nuclear grade) under harsh environment through the CNNC cable technology appraisal, to fill the gaps in the domestic. Experts believe that the product reached the international advanced level, with good social and economic benefits.

Hualong 1E-class harsh environment under the cable is one of the important supporting nuclear power plant products, mainly used in nuclear power station transmission, control, measurement system is to ensure the normal operation of the artery system. As the harsh environment of nuclear power plant with a cable used in nuclear power plant containment, the environment is harsh, high security requirements, so cable performance indicators to meet the normal conditions and accident conditions under the use requirements. After more than two years of painstaking efforts, the Electrical Instrument Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering Company and Anhui Cable Company have overcome many difficulties and finally successfully developed the product, contributing to the smooth construction of the "Hualong One" project.

The appraisal members are composed of nine experts from CSTC, Nuclear Safety Administration, Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of MEP, and State Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Wire and Cable. The expert group listened to the research and summary report of the project, fully affirmed the work of the task force and agreed that the project passed the appraisal of achievements.
